Connie Martien, age 72, passed away in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, November 23, 2019 with family at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her father Daniel Mast, her mother Bernadine Mast (Raeder), and her brother David Mast. Connie was a loving mother to her two children, son Michael Martien and daughter Renee Martien.

Connie was born in Akron, Ohio in 1947. In her youth she enjoyed caring for and riding horses, as well as ice skating. She studied Anthropology and Dental Hygiene at The Ohio State University. She was in the OSU Marching Band, in addition to being an avid ice skater on campus. Moving to Cleveland, Connie became an ice skating competitor and teacher, as well as a dental hygienist. She deeply loved horses, cats, reading and being on the ice. She spent many hours teaching kids and adults how to ice skate. Connie also loved to cook and bake and it showed in the dishes she created. She will be loved and remembered for her humor, strength and charm.
