Wade Shelton Smith, 82 of Cleveland, Ohio passed away Saturday, April 25, 2020. Wade was born April 9, 1938 in Breeden, West Virginia to parents Mary Ellen (nee Williamson) and Gidian Smith (both deceased). He was a proud Veteran of the US Airforce. Wade was preceded in death by his wife Beverly (nee Schuerger). He was a proud and loving father to his daughters Nancy Hamilton (Lee), Cynthia Crucis (Michael) and Vicki Reagle (Randy). He adored his grandchildren Stephanie Alestri (Tim), Cristie Welch (Caleb), Jennifer Leffel, Megan Jarstfer (Andrew), Michael Leffel (Sara), Jessica Tipton (Matthew), Randy Reagle, Michael Crucis, Monica Medina, Mary Crucis and great grandchildren, Owen, Luke, Callie, Gianna, Levi, Audrey, Natalie, Casey, Lily, Benjamin and Mia. He shared a close bond with all his siblings, Wilma Pince (Bill deceased), Gidian Jr. (deceased) (Linda deceased), Carol Hartley (Don), Ernie (deceased) (Barbara), Donna Hathaway (Bill), and Callie Adams (Bob). He spent much of his time with his beloved dogs Rags and Eddie. Wade spent many years gardening and making many friends at the Ben Franklin Community garden. Wade was an avid boater and fisherman and loved the time he spent with his friends at the 55th marina. Due to the Corona Virus a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Wade’s ashes will be interred at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, Ohio inside a niche in the St. Benedict Mausoleum.
