Marilyn Krotseng, January 23, 1934 – December 8, 2019

Born in Ellendale, MN to Hubert and Sybil Rief (nee Lester). Preceded in death by husband Rolf, and sister Pam Michels. Survived by her children Stephanie Lahti, David, Thomas, and Andy (Patty). Grandchildren Stephen Lahti (Kristy), Andy Lahti, Nicholas Murrett (Rebecca), Amy Krotseng, and Rachel Krotseng. Great grandchildren Everett, Bryce, and Harrison. Many nieces and nephews as well.

Marilyn graduated from Clintonville, WI High School and earned her Nursing degree at Mercy School of Nursing. She retired from Aristocrat Lakewood nursing home after working as Head Nurse there as well as a registered nurse at several hospitals in Cleveland.

Marilyn enjoyed racing on their many boats over the years beginning with their Flying Scot through to their Pearson 30. She thoroughly enjoyed supporting the entire family in their sailing endeavors and insisted the boat be raced. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, cross-stitching, and was an avid reader – a gift she passed on to her granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Inter-Lake Yachtsmen’s Fund at Yachtsmensfund.org.
