ERKMAN, PETER

PETER ERKMAN, age 84 passed away November 24, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Koracin). Dear father of Joe, and Joyce Egut; loving grandfather of William and Regina Egut. Surrogate "father" to his beloved departed dogs, Nancy and Smokey. Retired truck driver and member of Teamsters Local 436. He stayed close with the union and enjoyed the company and brotherhood of its members. An avid Harley rider, as recently as September, sharing fellowship with many Harley riders over the years and throughout Northern Ohio. A Navy veteran; serving on an aircraft carrier, traveling to ports in Italy, Greece, and Morocco. Interment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to, Holy Family Home of Parma for the wonderful and caring services provided by his hospice team in his final days. All services private.
