BOOKER, MARY
MARY BRINSKY BOOKER, 60, formerly of Youngstown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 31, 2016. She is survived by her beloved husband James Booker, who were married on Valentine’s Day nearly five years ago, her only son James Cordova III of whom she was most proud and is currently living in New York City, brothers Fred Brinsky, Jr.and Terry Brinksey, both of Youngstown, Michael "Fugi" Fuchilla of Longview, TX, William Brinsky of Washington, DC, and a sister Cassie Collins of Warren, a grandson Cameron Brock of Denver CO, her niece Tracy Brinsky Logan of Burghill and nephew Michael Brinsky (deceased), an uncle Mel Brinsey of Burghill, her aunts Sophie DiMartino of Niles and Roxanne Oblak of Mineral Ridge, along with numerous cousins in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida, who will miss her dearly. Her great nieces and nephews include Michael Brinsky, Jr, Emily and Alyssa Brinsky of Youngstown, Katie and Ryan Logan of Burghill, Megan and Robert Brinsky of Youngstown. Mary was born on June 18th, 1955 to Fred R. Brinsky and Mary George, both deceased. Raised as a child by her grandparents, Rock and Magdalen Brinsky (both also deceased) in North Jackson, she grew up on the west side of Youngstown and attended Chaney High School. Mary was a devoted wife that loved to cook, bake and take care of her husband James, who made the last twelve years of her life the happiest ever. She loved children and pets, especially her near-human betafish "Ferdie". To say that Mary was an avid Cleveland Browns’ fan would not even come close to her enthusiasm and loyal support of her favorite "Dawgs". Growing up on a farm, Mary acquired a green thumb and enjoyed growing plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Mary was a spiritual soul with a great love and faith in angels and had an extensive collection of angel figurines and ornaments. May all of her angels’ wings be fully extended and open wide for her welcome. A celebration of Mary’s life will take place this summer on her birthday, June 18th, details are forthcoming.
