DACKA, JOZEF

JOZEF DACKA, 94, passed away June 17, 2015 at Fairview Hospital following a long illness. Jozef was a forced labor POW during WWII in Germany. He brought his wife and eldest daughter to America in 1951 in search of a better life. They originally settled in Chicago. Jozef was a kind, gentle soul, and a brilliant man. He could fix, make or do anything. He instilled honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic in his children. Jozef never gave up and fought his health issues to the end. He is survived by his wife Lidia (nee Wolski), daughters Irene Kucin (Ken) of Las Vegas, Diane (Douglas Fitch) of Westlake and grandson Eric Jozef of Chicago. The family would like to thank the Skilled Nursing/Assisted Living employees at O’Neill Healthcare – North Ridgeville and the staff, nurses, and technicians at the Frecenius on Hoag in Sheffield Village for their great care. Jozef was very fond of his second "family" at Frecenius. "We are also thankful for the medical care received by Dr. Bohn and Dr. Nautiyal for the past several years." Graveside services,
